The legal team at Alex Davis Law recently filed some of the first lawsuits in the country against the makers of spinal stimulator devices, over allegations that they are defective and produce painful electrical shocks in patients.
Two of the cases target Abbott Laboratories, maker of the Proclaim Neurostimulation System. A woman from Tennessee reported experiencing months of painful electrical shocks and other malfunctions from her Proclaim device, in a lawsuit filed in federal court. The case is Krantz v. Abbott Laboratories, 1:25-cv-02934, N.D. Illinois.
In a separate case filed in Michigan federal court, our team sued Boston Scientific over its WaveWriter Alpha Spinal Cord Stimulator System. After an implantation procedure with the stimulator, our client began experiencing pain and shocking effects, but Boston Scientific’s toll-free customer line and its sales representatives were not able to resolve the issue. This case is Dunham v. Boston Scientific Corp., 1:25-cv-00481, W.D. Michigan.
