Litigation over the Cartiva synthetic cartilage toe implant device will be spearheaded by Alex Davis Law in the wake of a court order issued this week. Cartiva lawsuits will be tested
Judge Baker held an initial hearing for the Cartiva lawsuits on August 26, 2026. Lawyers for the manufacturer, now owned by Stryker, told the court they plan to file motions to dismiss the cases on the grounds of federal preemption, which is linked to the type of FDA approval for the device.
